How To Skyrocket your Safelist Ads’ Response, Open-rate and Profits In 3 Easy Ways
by Juan Pablo Cangas

Are you one of those marketers that say
safelists don’t work? You’re wrong!
Many marketers succesfully use
safelists to advertise their offers.

Safelists can be a very effective promotion tool,
but if don’t follow some basic rules, you won’t
get much results from your advertisements.
Here are some keys for improving your safelist
advertisement efficiency:

- Using an attention grabing headline

- Sneaking past email filters and
standing out from the crowd

- Promoting the right products

To stand out from the thousands of emails
safelists users normally receive,
the first essential step is to grab
their attention with a good headline.

There are several ways to do just that,
such as making an interesting comment about a
recent news event, or placing some symbols
before your headline text, like this:

*** Your subject here

or

===> Your subject here

This way, your headline will visually
separate itself from the rest.

Try to come up with your own techniques for
making your healines stand out, but always
remember that a headline’s sole purpose is
to get the reader opening your message,
nothing more and nothing less. You do this
by communicating key benefits while
sparking attention from interested prospects.

Also, don’t use deceptive headlines.
People usually get annoyed and instantly delete
emails where the subject line has nothing
to do with the body of the message.

Use compelling, interest-grabbing
headlines that make sense with the rest
of your message and speak your offer’s key benefits.

There is another techinique that’s
quite a bit controversial, which works
specially good with safelist advertising.
It’s a very effective way to sneak your message
past whatever email filters your reader is using.

Most safelists require you to validate your
“list” or “subscription” email address
before you can send your advertisements.
Because of this, safelists users often
configure their email filters to keep messages
containing specific words in the subject line,
while discarding all the rest.

They do this in order to not miss the
all-important safelist verification emails that would
otherwise get lost among thousands of advertisements.

For example, safelist users may setup their filters
to keep messages containing the words “confirmation”,
“validation” or “verification”, among others.

This is where you come in. If you include such words
in your subject line, you stand a very good chance
of sneaking past your reader’s email filters!

Even if some of your readers are not using filters
(so your message is among thousands of other ads),
by cleverly placing these words in your headline,
probably you will get their attention while they scan
the subject lines. If your headline is good,
your message will likely be opened!

In order to avoid problems with safelist owners,
don’t resort to extremely dirty tricks,
such as using subject lines like
“your account will be deleted” or
“please confirm your safelist account”.

Just include one of the “verification keywords”
discretely in your subject line, and make sure
the headline makes sense with the body of
your message.

But little matters how great your subject line is
or how effective you are at deceiving spam
filters or grabbing people’s attention…
if you are not giving safelist users what
they really want. This is an esencial
principle in salesmanship. Don’t sell what
you want to, instead, give buyers what THEY want.
You will hardly get any results by pushing
your diverse offers to a barely interested
audience.

Safelist users are interested on products such as
submitters (websites or software that make safelist
posting easier or more automated), large email boxes
that can be used with safelists, and ways to
improve their safelist advertisement results
(such as ad trackers, courses and tips).
Give safelist users what they want and need,
this way you will improve your results and
even feel good because you will make their life easier.

Using the simple tactics outlined before,
you will get much better results with your
safelist advertisement, ultimately boosting
your signups and income!
